Made My Life Change!

In 2011 Malice published his book Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind & Naked, a memoir about his life, including fearing contracting AIDS, as well as his conversion to Christianity.

I directed, filmed and edited his promotional videos from a three part excerpt series, a six part vignette and two music videos.

The Prayer

The Clipse as a duo might be on pause for now, but that does not mean that the Thornton Brothers are not cooking up interesting projects for the world. While his brother and partner in rhyme Pusha T signed with G.O.O.D. Music, Malice is preparing the release of his upcoming book Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind and Naked. Directed by Gene Thornton & Mark Garcia for Re-Up Gang Films, the first excerpt indicates a spiritual approach on this literary offering. Check it out above.

The Auction

If you do your due diligence and research Malice or go to his website, be advised that he does have existing pre-recorded music with cussing in it. Additionally Malice has a film company and they do video shorts and acting in the video contains cussing as well. His message now is the gospel, and again keep him in prayer. I have personally spoken to Malice on several occasions and his heart and passion is one for Christ and I’m extremely optimistic about the change he will affect in the hip hop industry.

Furnace of Affliction

So while Pusha is rapping alongside the likes of Kanye West and Jay-Z, the other half of the Clipse is putting together a book. I’m actually not mad at that. You can’t really say anything negative about someone who’s become jaded with his contribution to this hip hop shit. And there’s definitely nothing wrong with exploring different routes (as long as it’s genuine and the outcome is dope). The above clip, features an audio/visual excerpt from Malice’s writing debut, Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind & Naked.
